Ah-chyee

Alden has been really into the alphabet these days. Alphabet blocks, alphabet songs, and his new alphabet mat, thanks to grandma Barbara. He knows all of his letters now and we are very proud. He loves the floor letters and by putting it in his room we have become inspired to better Alden's environment. We took the guest bed/changing table out so he has more room to play and are currently looking for proper changing table, lamps, and colorful wall-things.

Along with the Alden space improvements we are also doing quite a bit on the rest of the house. I am in the process of building a bathroom downstairs where our sketchy mudroom currently resides. It's going to be a tight fit, but I think I will be able to get a shower, toilet and sink in the space. In any case it is better than a cast-away area, which was the function of the room until recently Also part of the work is caulking the windows, doing some finish work on the upstairs bathroom, and making a shelter for our woodpile. It's been so wet this year that September is really the first month it's been clear enough to work.
