We hunkered down all day and let the blizzard pass. The only blizzard fighting we did was to shovel a path to the wood shed so we could get logs for the fire. Otherwise it was an indoor day.
Alden and I went out at dusk to get a batch of logs and he played in a drift for a few minutes. In some places the snow drifts were over his head... but I think the average snow fall was about two feet.

It's easy to say you miss huge blizzards like that when you live in a part of the country that is mostly warm and sunny all year long... but I do miss those big snows. Have fun in the snow for me!
